VK Dash.

Hi guys,
My VK is now on the road (will put pics up soon) but i still have a few problems that need to be fixed. Firstly my Taco (revs) doesn't work, my pedometer (km) doesnt work and also my fuel guage. Just wondering how i would go about fixing these and where should be the first place i should start looking? I have read on here about fixing the pedometer with a new gear for in the transmission, where can i get these?

Tacho and fuel gauge; check wires from coil and condition of contacts in main engine harness. you'll have to trace the wires and check for poor connections back to the instrument.

speedo gear for in trans?
first check that the cable turns OK then get someone to sit in the car and watch the speedo for movement as you turn the cable with a power drill from the trans end. if it works then your dash is OK,
then check the gear that's inside the extension housing of the trans on the output shaft to make sure the little retaining clip is properly engaged.

you can get speedo gears from the wreckers, get the right colour one off the end of a cable out of a trans if needed.
