hi
i got a new muffler from a mate its a
MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust
i put it on the bottom of my vk to have a look and compared to the stock muffler is a bit wider and just wont fit. someone has suggested to me to cut out the spare wheel area and weld it shut anyone have an idea?
Dont cut anything of the car. It would cost you more to get the spare wheel well cut out and shut then it would to go and buy the correct muffler for the car, and sell that one on ebay.
Cant stress enough, dont cut any bit out of the car to fit the exhaust.
If your so persistent to use that muffler, go to an exhaust joint and they should be able to make up some pipe to make it fit.
good point but u could cut and shut it myself but yeah i probably am better off getting a muffler like my current ty for answering my stupid questions![]()
lol I ran into the same problem....I bought a straight through box for my car, and never paid any attention b4 and realised one side was offset. The one I bought was center/center, and it just wasn't gonna fit......so just forked out for another box.
