Default what the chances of the dif housing being bent

My son playing silly buggers hit the gutter at speed on the right hand side with both wheels and managed to bend the front stub axle/bottom control arm badly. We got another strut and arm and made it point straight again but the rear is not well.
He has bent the rear axle at the bolt up flange and even broken the internals to the park brake(disc rear end).Panard rod has big bend in it too.Whats my chances that the r/h diff tube is bent? Anyone done something similar and had experience with it? How can I check if its bent?

Cheapest and easiest way would be to just change the whole diff over. What car we talkin about? The VH? Ya can pick diffs up for those cheap as....but as u have a wagon, just remember to hunt down a wagon diff as the sedan one is slightly different where the shocks bolt up. I got a Salisbury 8 bolt out the back but that's for a sedan. The 8 bolt under my VK wagz will be out within the next few months, but obviously u need one sooner then that....plus I live in SA.

But yeah just hunt around.....not sure about wrecking yards coz I know some around here charge $200-$300+ for a diff. A local commy wrecker here sells them for $100-$150...but obviously if u can find someone wrecking a wagon ya might be able to pick one up for $50-$100....or a carton of beer lol.

Its just that to swap a r/h axle over is childsplay and about a hours work but the whole diff will take a lot longer and my old diff has disc brakes grafted from a vn so I have to take both sides off to swap it over (I dont think any diff I find will be a disc brake one).
If the housings straight thats all it would take.

I thought u meant the diff WAS bent.....if ur not sure...well yeah just change the axle and see if it's any better. My bro bent an axle a few months back after going up one of those angle curbs (the 45 degree ones)....thought it was the wheel but after changing it she was still wobbling down the road....thankfully after throwing another axle in she was fine.

Checkout the picture in my post above...hard to believe it used to be straight...the fuel tank even got it....my first impulse is to take the rod off and wrap it around my sons head.

Ok got a diff housing and centre but it was off a manual wagon...it has 3.36 on the pinion seal cover what differences will it have over the 3.08 that it used to have?
