    Default Ride quality on 19's

    hey boys and girls,
as you all have probably noticed, there is an shitload of vb-vl commodores runnin round with big wheels and low springs. ive spoken to dad about it and he reckons anything that old with wheels that big rides like crap. but with that many cars out there like that, the ride must still be good, or are you guys just putting up with it?? im asking this because im figuring out a plan of attack for my vk, which i want to look like the first one below. mine is the second.

I've found putting 19"+ wheels & lowered springs in pretty much any commodore (excluding factory fitted or HSV) will give a slightly harder ride. But you put up with it.

Its like luxury when i put my 16" factory rims back on my Statesman every once in a while.

My workmate is complaining about his VS ute having a harsh ride after lowering it and putting 17"s on it so 19"s will be worse. Another problem with fitting tyres with very low sidewalls is that they will scrub out on the edges more easily if you have any wheel alignment problems.

Yeah I only have 17's on my VK, but because they came standard with I think 15 inch wheels... the ride is a bit bumpier, especially after the car being lowered a bit.

You just put up with it I guess. I'm not fussy.
