whats better ecotec or 3.8L (not ecotec)

The ecotec is the better motor, its newer, better technology, reliable and good on fuel, dont get me wrong the pre-ecotec buicks are also great, I just find the ecotec slightly better.
For a conversion the pre-ecotecs are better because they are cheaper, slightly less wiring and less security and emissions crap.

Maybe if you are after the Pro's & Con's of each engine type, ask exactly that, instead of saying one is crap.

Mate, everyone is here to help you. Feel free to ask questions, just careful how you word them. To me this post made no sense, it was more which is better when you've already stated one as being crap.

If you want info on the conversion, then ask away. You need to be a bit more direct in your questions. Also remember we get plenty of dreamers on here asking questions but have no actual intention of doing it.

I did a pre-ecotec v6 conversion on my vk a few years ago... Cheap... Easy... Economical... And goes like never before!!!

Kept me happy for about a month...
