Ok, I have a 79 VB Wagon that I am currently fixing up, it runs great and drives well, just a bit of a rough body. 4.2L, Trimatic, normal stuff.
Anyway, I went outside earlier and noticed it was leaking fuel out of the very back. I jacked the side and supported it to reduce the speed of the leak, and so I could get under. Upon looking, it appears to be a breather hose coming out of the back end of the tank has perished, snapped, and fuel has just started running out.
I only filled it last night so this would not help things, but at a glance my front yard has gained roughly half a tank, not happy but what can ya do.
Now, I assume this is a breather hose, as I can't think of anything else it could be. I followed it around as far as I could without completely climbing under, but could not reach the end. It runs around the left side of the tank, I think it splits and then runs around the front of the tank and I couldn't follow much past that without more time.
Does someone know where this hose runs and terminates?
Are there more in the area can/should replace at the same time?
Cheers for any help.
Been covered many times before have a look on my site i have a complete how to on fixing it.
