    Default speedo having a fit

Gidday guys i have just replaced my VK speedo and was wondering if anyone knows of this prob. it go's up to 50kph perfectly then starts to jump around like from 50 to 80 to 60 to 50 to 80 and on and on it cant keep still and gets worse the faster i go until yeh im doin 50 or below then its all happy again!! the old speedo worked fine (this ones the segmented cop job i just like the look of better) also does anyone know if these need additional power supply or somethin cause there is a spot with prongs for a socket on the back of the speedo- the stock speedo just has this blank but hole is there for it as in the pic.. or is the speedo shaft maybe slipping or something? thanks heaps for any help

Make sure the cable is clipped right onto the speedo. Are you using the same cable?

Also if its a fualty speedo, you can get them reco'd (about 90 bux) or you can swap the faces over from memory.

Yeah some people just have no respect for these cars. When I drive passed a nice straight VB-VK I say to my wife "look there honey, another beauty".

Rare spares stock the plastic gear for the transmission end of the cable for about $18.
