    Default vk tacho problem

    Hey everyone... just got a problem with my rev tacho and gauge in my vk.. its like its on a preset mode still. it only stopped workin after i got it converted from a 3 spd auto to a 4 spd.. so if anyone can give me advice on wat to do or look for.. thanks

    have a look at my site i have wiring diagrams. What you need to look for is the wire that goes fromt he coil tot he tacho odds are its not connected somewhere. from memoryt he wire is brown but check the wiring diagrams.
    That may have bumped it off the coil when they pulled the auto oil dip stick out.

    Fluttering?? maybe it thinks its a butterfly :P

    Um just guessing here without a good description, vacume leak make sure they have properly blocked up the auto vacume port ont he carbie or EFI manifold.

    yeh they have done that wen i got my carby rebuilt.. only once i put that wire on the coil does it do that (brown wire) does it coff like its gettin air in the head or somethin.. wen i take it off its fine
