i bought a vc commodore as a rolling shell.
i dont know much about the car.
i would like to know if its an SL or SL/E etc and original engine size, etc.
these are the numbers under the bonnet

if anyone knows the original stats of the car from these numbers it would be much apreciated

VC8VK69-14 = base model
L18 = 1.9L high compression engine.
AVC010684M = Melbourne car 10,684 body made there.
705327M = Melbourne serial number. (this serial number makes up the VIN now days)

No, the only differences were 13" wheels instead of 14", a softer front anti-roll bar, no rear anti-roll bar, Torana brakes and a 3.9:1 diff ratio. Apart from that they were identical to a base model 6.

gu8=3.9 diff, m40= trimatic auto,568-30521= paint code. I hope this helps
