    Default vk calais ignition errors!

    warning light comes up on my vk calais, ' low coolant ' and ' low oil '

    But neither are low?

    depends, you will prob find that the coolant sensor is corroded pretty badly. Im not even sure they are available new anymore. The oil one may have become heat damaged

    the warning beeps will keep going if there is no reading at all from the sensors....

    Ill try & get a pic from NUFNSUS for you as I dont have a VKC anymore

    This is from someone I know that works in the parts area at our local Holden.

    theres 2 types of coolant level sensors the v8 and 6 use the same one but one of them has a "Pin Terminal" and the other uses a "Blade Terminal", both of which are available for under 85bux each

    Under your dash should be a moulded white/brown coloured circuit board about 30mmx30mm. Removing this from its socket will stop the low coolant warning, and I'd quite confidently say it will also stop the oil one, give it a go.
