hey guys found a vh ss at a mates house that he has had for years.
its got ss badges on it and a few peter brock sigs on it (i know its its not a group 3 hdt, unforntuatly) but im not sure if its a genuine ss. the numberplate suggest's so, but i want to be sure. 5 spd manual, 5.0L (308 im guessing)
i have seen photo's with the ss logo's on the left corner of the boot (unlike these on the right) and the sticker is different. looks to me like a vk ss. unless they've been changed..
also, whats the deal with the brock on the ss? i thought brock cars were only hdt?
any other details, please ask, i really need to know! lol.
lo-rolla.

i pretty sure it was a 5 speed.
i was looking for a hdt plate or something like that, but couldnt find one. where are the hdt plates normaly stamped?
yeah, thanks for that mate.
the stickers were the first thing that threw me off.
just one other thing aswell,
when i looked in the glove box it had the GENUINE SS hand book and service book and everything in there from the 1st owner with all the same details as the car filled out in it.
??
The VH SS should have the poverty interiour, no options, I think no radio a 253 and a 4 speed, the were built to qualify a light shell for Bathurst. Most budget car you could get, they were cheap too. I think 11-12k for a new one in 1982
Its a SS, look on the model code, just see XV2, SS option pack

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
Interesting that the lower steering column shroud is missing - hmmmmm.
looks like one tag is missing?
Here is a group 3 tag
White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car
and 3 Dangerous non ABS VN's
yeah if u look at the other id tags you can see the out line of where another one was or it has been moved.iether way theres a few holes around that general area
right got a few codes,
XV2 being the one of the ss codes, because they were built off different model vh's. so, YES it is a ss.
lol, thats in the boot. had a alarm system wired into it, and the shroud was never put back on.Interesting that the lower steering column shroud is missing - hmmmmm
