    Default I now own two v8's

    i own a vh with a 253 trimatic and just bought a vb sl/e with a 308 t400 just wondering wat i should do which one to put a nine inch into and dont know if i should change the colors they are both white is it better to do up the bigger engine of the two let me know thanks

    do up the 308 as it will go better with less money put the 9 inch behind 308 or you could give me your 308 lol

    i got 2 v8's too :-) a ls1 and a 253 ... wish my sl/e was a 308 :-( also wanted mine to be white and just dump it on ceptors with 5% tint haha

    i now know wat my dad and i are goin 2 do im gunna save and put a 9 inch in my sl/e and dads just gunna have a play with a minni spool and 4:11 diff gears

    mate, unless your gonna spend some SERIOUS cash on either V8 you are never gonna need a 9 inch.

    for the 2-3k for a 9 inch you could get a nice 3.55 lsd center to put in your 10 bolt salisbury, a basic 2500 stall converter, 495 lift cam 118 duration new lifters etc, and regraph your carb/dizzy.


    much much much much better use of $$ imo

    Sorry, just wondering how much do 3.55 LSD centres usually cost (assuming the commo one would be the same to suit a HZ Tonner diff?)

    got mine 2nd hand on ebay complete disc to disc for 350. wreckers will have one tonne centers for cheaper than that though, then take the gear to a diff place like keysborough diff's in melbourne and they can fit up a LSD center to it for around 800.

    i dont think the 3.55 fits straigh into the commo 10 bolt, pretty sure some housing needs to be ground off to fit the bigger crown gear.
