My 1985 Holden commodore wont start at all. What should i do?
I mean when i used the key to start the car first it all was well. Although a few seconds later the car automatically switched off. Although this is natural (as it it happens alot due to coldness), so when i started again it the power came on although the motor doesnt seem to do anything. I checked the fuses + battery although they were just fine. What could be the problem? Is there any solution that you guys can come up with? (also i need to go to work in about 6hrs time so i need advice fast)
Thanks guys
Edit: btw its an auto

is it in park? cause if it isnt it has a safety switch that stops the car from starting. My bro has done this before and i was stumped for ages until i put it into park.
Also check ur spark and see if fuel is actually getting into the engine (is there fuel in the tank?) Is the starter motor cranking over?
loose wire to starter? having the car in 'R' is lol. i personally have done this loads of times and am forced to smack myself in the face when i realise my stupidity.
is the starter clicking? flat battery? could be a bunch of things really
