253 water leak??

i've recently discovered my VH 253 is leaking water that appears to be coming from a bolt on the LH engine mount which has me stumped. it was losing water so at first i thought it might be a head gasket, but i did a compression test yesterday and all cylinders have good readings. anyone have any idea what it might be? welch plug possibly?
