turbo 700 conversion

iv got a turbo bolt pattern 308 in n early commo n want to do a t700 conversion. i kno the vr onwards 1s r computer controlled. iv got a vn v8 1 on the ground ready to go in. i thought it was gonna be n easy installation, modify tailshaft n cross member perhaps but that would b it. iv now been told that it requires a 12v power source and wiring harness to get the convertor to lock up. has any1 done this b4? what happens if i dont do the wiring? does it matter if it does not lock up?

Swing RVK355 a PM....we bought a 253 off of him with a T700 behind it.....I don't think it had any wires on it.....but he pulled it out of a VK so he might know.

doesnt matter if it doesnt lock up it only does it under light load cruise to save a bit of fuel.there are ways to wire it up but theres not too much point
