Just picked one up for a project car, LS1 conversion.

woundering if anyone had any info or specs on this model.

Just it was a 4cyl manual, so thought it must be a base model, but the interior trim is actually pretty high spec, with rear headrests, gold fabric even on hoodlining, brown dash.power windows, central locking.

Are you in NZ? They dropped the 4 cylinder when they when they went to the VK in Australia.

Royale is between Berlina and Calais spec. The Backfire 4 was standard. New Zealand export only none in Australia.

Yes in New Zealand.

Between Berlina & Calias, that would explain the level of spec for a 4 cylinder,also has the Calais exterior door moulds.

I'm extremly happy with the cars interior, it's mint condition and high spec, no need for aftermaket seats and trim.

Will get some pic's on the weekend.
Exterior is primed almost ready for paint, has Grp A front and rear bars, bonnet scoop & grill, not sure if i will put a boot spoiler on or not, will just have the wide factory door moulds, same as calais, no side skirts.

Paint will be two tone, silver lower and dark blue with pearl upper(paint came with car) a set of 19s and the LS1 with 4 speed auto should make a great cruiser.
