Hi, a few weeks ago my alternator went and was replaced at the mechanics. However, and even after a second replacement alternator, each time I start the car, if I don't drive off straight away, the alternator warning light comes on. It doesn't do it when I'm driving, but only after I've started the car when the revs die down, if I haven't already moved off. I've had the car into the mechanic 5 times, including them sending it to Holden twice (the first because they said the computer needed to be re-programmed, the second they said it was a loose wire). My mechanic is stumped and obviously Holden hasn't helped yet. It's a very early VE. Any ideas??? Thanks.

I think I remember reading about this, it has to do with a software upgrade. But if yours has already been upgraded, then maybe your battery is on the way out.
