So I just wanna compare a few stats on my 2009 SSV manual ute. 170kms.

Idle Kpa: 187
Idle V: 14.8
Normal running oil temp in current weather (15c): 112
Normal running water temp in current weather (15c): one line under halfway on gauge.
Average fuel: 14.5lt/100 (with average speed: 39.1km/h)

And finally: what rpm do you change gears at when just driving normally, I tend to be around 3000rpm to 3500rpm. Do you think I'm holding the gears to long?

Cheers guys.

In the 2009 SSV I have the 3 digital gauges above the central air vents which I'm sure are a crude indication rather then a mechanical reading but never the less should be somewhat constant between similar vehicles. My gauge idles at 187Kpa oil pressure and obviously increases exponentially as the rpm increases.

SS Commodore - Ford Territory ... both camps
Each to their own but do you guys really always change at 3000-3500rpm during normal driving? Why?

Man I must be a grandad...

Lol, when I say normal driving I don't flat foot 3000rpm change and flat foot. I cruise to throttle to that then change. I live right in Melbourne so 90% of my driving is heavy traffic, traffic lights or trams so I tend to hold gears longer or I'd constantly be riding the clutch and changing gears.

mines about the same for kpa, between 12.5v - 14.8v, oil temp 110, but the water temp at about a third, mine has 201,000klm on the clock, I change gear anywhere between 2500 and 4000rpm
been tuned, otr, exhaust since nearly new, fuel average at 40kph 12.5lt, on a highway trip between 8.3 and 9.4lt
