Default SSV rear speakers into an SS?

I noticed the SSV has speakers behind the rear passenger head rests.... i'm guessing that there would be wiring there already to hook some factory, or after market speakers up? I like the sound of the stereo, but some nice speakers up the back would be great!

    • UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.

    • OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear.

    • HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.

    • TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

I think they are factory subs, 8" going from memory, your car would have the holes pre cut, just need to pop the metal covers off which will have a couple of tiny welds holding them in place, and then either buy a new parcel tray off a clubsport/ssv or cut the holes. Not sure if holden sell grills for them like they used to for the vx. Unsure of wiring through.

Not sure if its the same in the newer models but in my SV6 it has the holes in the metal part of the parcel shelf that are just tack welded in so easy to hit it out. Also in the material part of the parcel shelf there is the indent where the speaker grill sits, so just need to cut that out and fit a speaker in there.
I considered putting a speaker in there when I did my stereo and giving it the factory look, but I decided against it because the speaker grills are about $150 a side from Holden. There may be aftermarket ones available now though.

i had a look under the parcel tray and saw the covers on the speaker holes..... i didn't have time to see if the wiring was in place for them though.... but considering the wiring for the bluetooth module is pre-wired into the Omega, i suspect the wiring for the extra speakers would be there also.
