VE Clubsport R8- Clutch?

Hey Guys,

Just bought a VE Clubsport R8 (Feb 2007 build)

Awesome car to drive, absolutely love it to bits and the power is just amazing.

Ive got the 6sp Manual and have noticed the clutch seems to be having problems?

After its heated up it seems to have trouble de-pressing, like when you let
go of it, it doesnt come back out all the way?

Is this a problem with this model? I will be taking it into the local dealer
as its still got its new car warranty, are there any other problems that
I should know about/check for when I take it back?

Damn...obviously your clutch is sticking :S

I think there have been a few other topics covering this..have a read through them but definately take it to ya dealer..

Not good to hear as I'm getting mine soon and don't want this problem too..

Happened really bad after I posted this lastnight, it almost totally dissapeared and stuck to the floor.

Anyone else got any info? Ive tryed searching the forum for clutch problems but nothing comes up.

yep common VE problem mines been doing it for months, holden are supposedly coming out with a fix for the problem soon check out these on the Ls1 forum VE Clutch Sticking - Possible Issue - Australian LS1 and Holden Forums

Well, they are either putting in a VZ clutch if the car is undrive-able, or if the car can be driven, like myn, they will be putting in a heavy duty ceramic clutch, available in about 10 weeks time.

I think it might be the same clutch that is in the W427?

where did you hear that info from? is that direct from holden?
