    Default Fixing Drone

Ive seen the thread below and its about a V6, so I thought I would start a new thread instead of bring the V8 chat into that thread, anyway...

Just wondering, what are the most popular mufflers for the V8s? Ive got a 6L Clubby and at 110-120kmh in 6th (manual) its droning very badly, just wondering if anyone has fixed this and what muffler they have used?

Hey mate is your exhaust all stock? Any changes to the Exhaust?
Im having issues with my exhaust droning also... Mines a 6speed auto and ever since Holden removed my exhaust to replace my auto under warranty its been droning very badly at highway speeds and even around town... Its very annoying.

It will be a trip back to Holden to see whats up.

A good no drone system is the Manta 3".

I have this system on my car and there isn't any drone. If you do some searching on the Manta exhaust you will find a heap of guys who have cammed their VE's that have cycled through different exhausts to find the Manta doing the job well and still sounding great.

Yeah the 'manta 3' of 'di fillipo' exhaust systems are the way to go as they don't drone at all.

When to dealer today and they put car on the hoist and checked over the exhaust... All checked out. Slight adjustment to the rear mufflers and now seems better. Took a SSV auto out for a drive also to compare and it only had 5K on the ODO... It droned worst then our car did so that made me feel better. They changed over the Air flow sensor while I was there also as the car has had some strange idle issue which has been going on forever. So far so good...
