I think from factory is 245/35/20? 20" rims.

You can go alot higher though, but you will throw out your speedo.

That should be alright because your increasing the rims size but decrsin the profile of the tyre. Therefore the diamete of the wheel and tyre hasnt changed.
If you are that worried buy a tyre decal stickeroff ebay.
Goes straight over the original tyre size sticker so u can legally have 20's

some VE's are delivered with 20's, so no need to change your placard.

they have 245/35R20 front and 275/30R20 rears.

22's are a bit harder to do legally due to load rating requirements. 20's are not a problem.

mine got delivered with 20's.... but placard only quotes 19's as largest 'factory' option, and that's what counts when it comes to RTA. getting 20's delivered doesnt mean its automatically the largest legal size. It's less about rim diameter, and more about width and rolling diameter... and what's written on placard is very important when it comes to picking larger wheels.

read here: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi09_rev4.pdf

in a nutshell... rolling diameter no more than 15mm out from largest size wheel/tyre combo (so speedo stays accurate), and no more than 1" wider than widest wheel quoted on placard.

so technically... 25" bling blings are fine, provided you can find a set that is narrow enough, and tyres that are low profile enough to not change rolling diameter :). and good luck with that btw ;)

And as Wheel Deal's already mentioned, once you start getting into super low profiles, load ratings come into play more and more.

Yeah, don't think i'll be going that big. I can only imagine how much it would cost!!!!! 22's at the most i reckon.
