    Question walkinshaw vs GMM?

Hi guys have just purchased a VE SSV and am not sure wether to go with the walkinshaw power pack which is 300kw with headers or to go with the GMM powerpack which is 340kw and a $1000 dollars cheaper with full difillipo system. Is there a reason walkinshaw are so expensive? are they really that much better?
Any advice would be great CHEERS!

IMO you're just paying for the name. If it was me I'd go with GMM.

the reason for the expense is warranty, holden have a handshake with walkinshaw hence any work done wont void your warranty and is in fact under warranty
so if that doesnt matter with you, go GMM (walkinshaw are a bit overpriced imo)

In the UK, if you buy a Vauxhall badged Commodore, you can get Walkinshaw done in-house, under factory new-car warranty. I dunno, but to me, if a company will tune a car under warranty, it stands to reason that it'd have to be a very good quality, well balanced and tried and tested modification package. I'd say it'd be worth the extra money...
I just love the way other motorists on the highway think it's an unmarked cop car.........

And Yes, it is a manual

LOL sorry, resale is the last thing you think about when it comes to mods. No one wants a thrashed 1/4mile V8.

Thanks for all the advice guys!
I have recently spoken to walkinshaw and they do not guarantee they will not void the warrantee they say it depends on the individual dealer which did not exactly fill me with confidence! GMM are also now licensed to fit all walkinshaw products which I also thought was a bit strange considering walkinshaw say there products are expertly fitted by their technicians! I have been in contact with auto technique in scoresby and they seem quite good as well so I will let you know how it all go's and post pictures when I pick it up cheers!

thats correct, ANY modification can cause a warranty void on a specific component( eg; exhaust system will usually void Engine, and Drive train) or a complete warranty void, i know of a few cars where i work that have had both these done, so just be wary of that

walkinshaw don't make any of there products they just rebadge everyone else stuff so the qualified tech stuff is BS. their intake is a growler their coil overs are teins. their exhaust is hm headers wheels are simons etc. rebadges with markup.
