I was taking the door trim off this arvo to bung some new speakers into the ute so I thought I'd take some shots along the way. There's still a few people out there that are unsure about how to remove the door trim so here's a picture story for you. Enjoy.
VE SS V door trim - they're all the same type on the other models.
Tools you'll need are a Philips head screwdriver, a Jeweller's flat head screwdriver and a Torx T25 screwdriver (or the bit, whatever works for you)
Start by using the Jeweller's flat head on the small outlined plastic square behind the door handle. Be ready or it will fling out at 100 miles an hour into your face.
You should see a silver T25 screw behind it. Guess which tool you'll need for that...
Next, attack the two screws on the hinged side of the door
Take the three screws out at the bottom of the door
Take out the loner screw under the armrest - just feel around in there until your Philips has a grab on it.
Those are all the screws done, now start to pull from the bottom-hinge side corner of the door. It will be tight if the car hasn't been fiddled with after coming out of the factory.
Keep pulling around the top side of the door - most of it will come away easily.
Once the whole trim comes away, don't yank it all the way out! There's two wires going into the trim - that's for the lock and handle mechanisms. You need to disconnect these (next pic)
All done  see not that hard was it?
