g'day i was just curios to whether i can make my standard omega look like a clubsport? if so how similar will they look? and what price range am i looking at? i also noticed with the clubsport the tail lights are down a little further as a pose to the omegas being a little bit higher does this mean i need a whole new rear panel?
Yes, you can make an Omega look like a clubsport.
The HSV rear quarters are the same as the standard commodore. They just use an infill piece above the tail lights. Pretty sure there is a complete back end for sale in our classifieds.
How much will it cost? A lot. To my knowledge, no one is making aftermarket panels, skirts, bumpers, infidels or lights yet. So everything will need to be HSV genuine.
There is a few people on here who have done part or full conversions. Have a search through the forums. I can't find the threads at the moment because I'm on my phone.
So yeah, you can do it... but please don't.

If you're after the "wannabe knob" look then go for it!
Have done this conversion to mine. I only did the senator rear to mine though, as it blends in nicely and doesn't stand out too much.

Can someone explain to me why its "cool" to make your car look like something its not?
I mean it looks good, but its like wearing a shirt that says you've got a 12" dick when you don't.
Kinda what I was implying with the quotations marks...
Well, personally, I couldn't give 2 shits about anyone elses 'opinions' on what I do to MY car. It's MY car, MY money. I'll do whatever the f@#k I want to it.
I would undoubtedly be against it, if someone were to put the whole kit on and then badge it as a HSV.
My biggest problem is VY executives with HSV's kits that never fit properly.
Looks horrid and its as far from a HSV as you would want to get.
On the other side, if you've got 827rwhp you can pretty much do what you want :P
The ass end of Unit's VE looks pretty good to me, something looks a little out of place thought. Don't know if its the paint or just the lighting or something else.
I prefer the sleeper look myself though, not to mention its a lot cheaper.

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
imo if someone does the whole outside of the car to look like a hsv and badges it a hsv then thats not cool
HOWEVER
theres nothing wrong with taking a few bits that you personally think look good and putting them on
for example, i think the hsv wheels, rear spoiler and rear lights look awesome but i dont like the rest of the car, therefore I have no problem putting these on my car (in fact i already have the hsv wheels and spoiler but cant justify the price of the lights)
I havent changed the badges and I actually dont 'wannabe' a hsv since I prefer the look of the commodores, I just simply like those few bits
How is that not ok, do I have to buy a whole overpriced car that I dont like just so I can have those few bits?
You guys all modify your engines, suspension, exhaust, etc to something that isnt 'factory holden' because you like that way, so why cant someone modify the exterior with parts that dont come on it from 'factory' if they like that?
Tom I agree with you here, there are a few bits and pieces that I am wanting to do for my sv6 basically what I am after is the look of the ssv's (minus the badges) and when you look at it the differences are only minimal.. Headlight, rear light, rear spoiler, quad tips and 19" wheels (after the clubby r8 rims 19's). But I agree on the fact that if you start changing badges over that's when the "wannabe" factor comes into play, ultimately its personal taste and its the drivers choice as they will be the people driving there car.
If you have the WHOLE body kit on an executive with a V6 and cloth interior it looks ridiculous.
Don't you worry soop, I share the gripe with the vy-vz hsv mock up's very ugly.. I know of a guy who I used to work with that did this to his vz them claiming that the car's re sale value would increase with going ahead with it.. spent an hour trying to convince him that this is clearly not the case as it wont be stock no longer.... oh well he's happy with it... he was a drop kick anyways.
What ever floats your boat I say. If you want to put a HSV kit on your poverty pack go for it. Your the one the has to be happy with it.
Who cares what the internet keyboard warriors think. They dont have to drive.
If you like it do it!

many may disagree. But I think this is classy.
