    Default More IQ weirdness?

A couple nights ago, my IQ screen was stuck with "Ipod connected" on it. Couldn't play any songs off my ipod. Other audio sources worked, but when you went to the ipod screen, it just kept saying "Ipod connected".

Tried disconnecting, reconnecting, turning the car off and on again, reset the ipod. Didn't work.

Took the ipod inside and tried to check for any software updates, there were none.

Damn thing started working the next day thankfully.

Also, yesterday I was turning the fan up and noticed it didn't display the fan level graphic right. Instead of the usual graphic there was just a black box with nothing in it. That also started working properly later.

I'm hoping when my car's due for it's first service, there's a software update....

Sounds similar to this issue I had:

YouTube - Holden IQ System Issues

Due for 15000km service, I'll see if I can get the software update.

wow, that's really ####ed. Sorry to hear. I feel grateful mine seems to be working fine now.

Oh, the air vent level didn't display the graphic again today. But I kinda got the feeling it was just *thinking* before it finally came up.

Oh, mine worked fine after I left the car for 30 minutes, and I havn't had this problem repeat since. Just a strange once off occurrence.

I turned on the rear window heater and the AC went off auto and closed the recirculating vent. Then when auto air was pressed the rear heater would go off.

    I got the update today,
long story short - many IQ probs but the worst was the rear speakers werent working - took it in, initially they said they were going to replace the whole IQ system, when I picked it up they said holden sent them an update and they tried it and it is working fine now...
first update they had done at this dealership

    Unhappy IQ Upgrade

Just had my 3000km service yesterday and they 'upgraded' the IQ software per 11-CS-09. Now I don't have any rear speakers and the phone book on my phone does not work anymore... not happy Jan...

Just about to call them and have it 'downgraded' back to how it was. Definately time for a dedicated IQ forum!!

With all these IQ issues being reported on this forum I'm too damn scared to fiddle aroiund with the settings on mine. Cant hear the lady giving GPS directions. No doubt there is a way of turning her up but then I'd have two women in the car telling me where to go.

You can turn her up with the volume control on the steering wheel while she's speaking. Press nav to get her to start speaking again.

As for the other woman, no way to turn her volume down that I know of.

Just an idea but maybe try disconnecting the battery for a few hours. That might fix the problem. My dads car used to do it often but ever since he disconnected the battery he has never had that issue again.

Such a shame considering the one built into the car doesn't talk back

I can turn the other woman down by sending her on an overseas cruise or by turning the GPS girl up. Thanks for the info msf.

You must be unlucky. I have had my Series II for a few months now and the IQ system has worked perfectly from day one and i give it a hammering.

With the new software upgrade it basically resets all settings at the end of it, so you need to re-pair your phone, radio favorites, customised settings etc.. the advisor should have made you aware of this, almost all VEII cept the recently built ones(with in a few months) will probably require a software upgrade

A condition can occur where the Holden-iQ software may reconfigure the iQ settings to a
    different brand or vehicle type.

In addition to addressing general bug fixes to improve user experience, the revised
software will also deliver a more user-friendly interface which includes improvements to
    iPodŽ and Bluetooth features.

The radio stations should be noted down and re-entered by the tech before you get the car back but other settings need to be redone.

Is the software upgrade usually something that Holden would charge you for? If I had to book my car in for it's 15k service and let's say that just the service was $250.00 would it be an extra for the upgrade or would it be included in that price?

If the car is under warranty its done free of charge as its a campaign to correct a known fault.
