Just completed 2000km journey. Since being back home have noticed that sometimes the tranny seems to go from 3rd to 4th at about 35kmh and when it does the revs drops to just shy of 1000neat, the car shudders and sounds like its going over judder bars or a ripple strip.
Have been able to replicate a few times each day this week on the way to work.
When i change the gear shifter to Sports mode it does it when switching from 2nd to 3rd at 25kph (and again just shy of 1000rpms)
In manual mode it doesnt happen at all.
Is there a way i can reset the tranny?
What might be causing?
Is a MY10 Calais v6 with 30k on it (so is under wty yes, but i am bound to get frustrated with the back and forthing while the dealership spend my time telling me what it isnt)
Cheers
Had the same issue with my 07 V6 Calais V at 70K km and got it checked at the next service. They told me they played with the settings in the transmission (upped the pressures I think was one comment) and all was fixed. They never even took the pan off. Apparently the new boxes are very much computer controlled in the way they operate and something just needed some fine tuning. Now at 155K km and never had it re-occur. Had the boxed serviced at 150K km and transmission specialist said all was good with the box and inside was clean with no noticable damage. Just get it checked and hopefully all will be OK.
