    Where can I get the heater hoses that go alone the side of the motor not on top?
    One of them is leaking and I've always thought they looked untidy since i removed the engine cover, so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.
    P.S you can see the hose in the pics on the thread below

    go onto the ls1 forum and do a search if you can or check the archives as theres a bloody long thread on this subject and i believe a fix as well.

    What I did was buy the VZ hoses (4 of) and used enzed hose joiners (with clamps), you need to use joiners as there is no external heater tap. You will need to shorten each hose by about 100mm or a bit more. Some have used the factory hoses from the VK commodore as well. I liked the VZ ones as they are shaped to run along the side rail.

    Yep i used VK V8 ones. They have right angle bends to go on the engine and there cheap. I'm not a big fan of their spring loaded hose clamps either, so i used normal ones on the firewall as one of them didn't feel right. I can post pic's if you want.

    Thanks azzss, the gas is great cheap ($40-45 for 70-80Ltrs) and i get the same economy as fuel I would do it again with the next car as well.

    Done it today,the Vk V8 heater hoses work well(use the longer of the two x2). All up it cost about $40 with some clamps, i will put some photo up tomorrow.

    So you have to buy two sets of the hoses?

    I would think you'd be able to buy them as two separate hoses.
