Is it hard to paint the engine covers?

Will removing the engine cover make a difference if removed completely?

running without one doesn't hurt, those covers are heat traps so most of us remove them anyway

Ive ventilated and painted mine, bit of prep work but not too hard......ventilation was more for looks than heat dissipation, the heat soak thing doent bother me.
