Default VE HSV Series 3 gauges/air vents in Ve Series 2 SV6

    Hey guys,

Curious if it would be possible to put the VE HSV Series 3 gauges/air vent setup in a VE Series 2 SV6. Would it be as simple as removing the top centre colsole plastics with the 2 round air vents and i think the front facia of the IQ system and putting the HSV style on with the flatter style airvents and gauges???

Unsure what wiring would be needed or if it be plug and play.

I know it will cost me a fair penny but I think it would be something different. Any thoughts??

    Cheers

Dont think that would work in the series 2 as the IQ screen sits up higher then the series 1. Perhaps the twin gauges may work where the speaker is

    Cheers

I'm sure a HSV dealer could supply the new facia, gauges and looms but it'll probably be a bit of a pain to install.

Nope not unless you have a VIN. A lot of guys wanted to do the Series 1/2 gauge setup in their Series 1 SS's etc. It just became too much hard work. I wanted to also but ended up with a SS Inductions gauge holder and Aeroforce gauges. Being red and black digital they match the rest of my night time lighting.

The problem with the HSV setup is that it is not a straight swap. So much of the trim is different. Also the cost. The rrp of the HSV setup is $2000.

I asked the same question only to find out that the whole dash needs to be removed to change the vents, can be done but it would be a very expensive exrercise.
