Hey all, just came back into my house from a 2,5 hour job in the drive way with minimum light trying to install my new airhammer intake. (was too excited for leaving it for the weekend during the day with light) Good news, i finished it and it's looking sweeeetThe engine looks naked now from where the stock air filter was but that doesn't bother me. The thing that took me the longest time was where the new hose (from the kit) had to fit onto where the stock hose went on the rear top passenger side of the engine. The !@#$%^ thing wouldn't stretch... So after a long time trying to widen the one end of the new hose, I remembered that there was a mini hose connector from the stock hose, so I cut it down to size where the diameter was bigger and pushed it in half way on the one side of the new hose and pushed it in back on the engine, Finally!!!
After that I had my fingers crossed hoping nothing would happen or sound weird or the engine light switching on...
So i started it up and... nothing!!! Phew. I couldn't rev it in my driveway due to the time, so i took it for a small drive...and all i can say is... I LOVED IT!!! Don't know how much kw it gave and don't care, but i can feel the cars response way better now.
I'll post some pics of it soon.
I did exactly the same mate.. Got it and was too excited to leave it till the next day to install, soo did it im the dark pretty much too haha
they are great though, love it!!! (revs sooo much easier!! + throttle response!! + induction sound!!)
Keep up the good work!![]()
This is where i had to connect the new breather hose onto the engine.
