Send him a message and ask if its the geniune tail lights cause i found similar ones on ebay and messaged him, he said that they are a copy of the geniune. Who knows how much life span they have...And the funny thing was that i was going to buy them without thinking...

How easy are these to change?

I want to change my sv6 ones. Had a quick look, couldn't see any screws, pit it in the too-hard basket for now

    i just called the bloke,

they are replicas..... he said 'they are identical, fit perfectly, use the same globes as your standard lights'

So yeh he reckons they are very good quality replicas.... Im interested so i told him ill COD when i see them. so im going to see him tonight. ill give the lowdown. my mum has an SSV so i have a pretty good idea and photos to compare. I guess the quality of the Plastic may not be as good but if it looks as good as genuine i dont see the problem in getting a set.

My only concern is they may fade a bit or go blurry over time.

just keep your old lights and if they fade or f*ck up put the old ones back in.. i'd say they would last awhile so i reckon it'd be worth it!

i just picked up my set and fitted them! All went perfect the lines are good and lights look very genuine.

They are a little lighter when the lights are on. is there anyway to make them more red? Red globes????

Ill post pics up tonight im so happy.

How deep is the scratch? You can buff light lenses easy enough if it isn't too deep.

Got mine today, put them in and cant tell they are aftermarket, look great!!
The only thing is that the red is a little bit lighter than the genuines as LachieSV6 said. You can only tell cos of the brake light in the rear window is more red than the tail lights.
Still happy.. $150 saved (rather than genuines from holmart) got a the chrome boot strip (off a calais) off the same guy with the money saved but dunno how to put it on cos there are no holes in the boot for the clips..

If anyone else does plan to get these tail lights.. make sure you get some red tail light globes (i got mine from supercheap for $5)

It fixes the lights looking a bit pink and not matching the brake light on back window.. looks brilliant now!! exactly like genuines!!!
