need help with ve calais headuit

my gf has a ve calais and the headunit has stopped playing cd's, guessing the laser is stuffed.. anyways just wondering whats the best solution to this, are they repairable?? or better off trying to get another one??

Have you tried putting a laser cleaner through it?
