    Question VE Dash Trim Removal

    Hi Peoples,

This weekend i will be pulling my dash apart to paint certain parts:
    Steering wheel inner plastics
Dash Plastic strips Left & right
Center plastic surrounds (around gear stick etc)
    Fascia around top speaker/Stereo
    Door speaker round trims

Is there anywhere on here which explains how to remove this or where clips/screws are located????

    Cheers!!!

    Hi Mate,
My last car (VE series 1) I brought a HSV Carbon Fibre Kit, and had taken out the both left and right dash strips myself by using a screw driver and hard yanking, and i mean hard like when it finally released it made a snaping noise. But as for steering wheel I had to get holden to do it due to the Air bag, as they have the airbag tool for it. But as for the others i can't help you on them, Sorry.

I have an instructional manual for removing the centre of the dash - where all the climate controls, cd player etc etc. This is for installation of the triple gauge display.

It for a Pontiac G8 but essentially the same car.. You can download the PDF from my file hosting site. G8_OEM_3G_Sport_gauges_installation.pdf

    Hope this helps

    Phil

You dont need a special tool for the airbag, search for the write up I did a while ago and you can do it yourself.
