    Default Ve antenna

    Hey can anyone please tell me how to change the antennas from the ve sv6 utes to the walkinshaw smart antenna?

    just unscrew and screw the new one on 2 minute job i had one but reception was poo so went back to standard.

    Just bung in an amplifier in-line. The standard antenna is 3dB gain at 100MHz, so it should scream it in on anything but a distance source.

    This is the one I bought. Looks identical to the Walkinshaw one and I have had no problems. Personally, I dont know what a 'smart' antenna does

    you could also get one off a ford territory. straight forward fit. though I have one of the German made ones I got from a mate who sells them on evil bay. I've tried a couple and they seem to work the best

    I got a similar one off eBay for my ute, looks great and works perfect - unless Ive got the iPod car charger plugged in

    anyone ever put on a bmw fin style one? i think i saw one on one of the US cars on here.. i think they suit it really well.. where can we get one?

    Here you go mate. I've got the Bee sting antenna as well and I much prefer this one.

    This is the best pic I have which shows the aerial. It's the Mazda CX7 one - not an ebay job.

    Yes, but I found it didn't quite sit flush when screwed in the whole way. The thread was a tad too long or too short (can't remember now).

    I just got it from a Mazda dealer. Don't have the part no. sorry, it was a couple of years ago now!

    I just got one of these... HOLDEN VE SS SSV SV6 HSV GTS BEE STING ANTENNA AERIAL (eBay item 170620510119 end time 25-Apr-11 22:45:21 AEST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats
    Looks the goods, took all of 30sec to install and reception seems fine. I will post a pic with it on my car soon..

    btw Davey... bout time i saw your new ride
