I know nothing about phones (owned $30 ones my whole life), after some advice on what sort of phone I need to hook up to my car's centre console (VE SS 2011). I'd like to get 'trapster' appearing on the centre screen if possible (Speed Trap Sharing System - Trapster).

I don't need the sort of nav that tells me where to go and turn (annoying) just street position and I can work the rest out.

Do I need a special phone or just one that runs apps and has bluetooth? Currently thinking about HTC Legend or Samsung Nexus on a plan.
