Default Plastic Roof Rails - How to remove?

    Hi All,

I want to remove the black plastic roof rails that run along the roof of the car. They are fading grey and have a number of marks all of them. I have tried claying them until smooth, cleaning properly & preping them and then using forever black. But did absoultly nothing!

I know i can buy replacements from Holden (about $30-$40 each) but i don't want to pay them stupid amounts of money to replace them if i can do it myself

I've always wondered about this myself. Hopefully someone can enlighten us...

im not to sure bout the VE but if they are the same as the VT/X/WH then they slide out forwards towards the windscreen
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
