Ok so I'm doing a dift school course soon at eastern creek and was just wondering will this damage anything
Cause I no that when I pull up the hand brake at rolling speed it doesn't work like my work ute and gradually slow down to a stop
In the ss it's like you pull it up a little bit nothing bit more nothing than bam its like I slammed on the brakes
Has anyone else experienced this?
I find in my car the handbrake seems to do nothing until the last couple of notches, then it bites.
I daresay pulling the handbrake while driving wouldn't be too good for it, but I'm no expert when it comes to that...
Stuff the handbrake... learn the Scandanavian Flick!
If I can 'drift' in a fwd, you can do it in a VE no worries... especially in a tailhappy ute.
I'd be hessitant in doing it in a 'work ute' though. If you stuff it and end up hitting a barrier or roll it, and you'll have to pay for it (no way work insurance will cover any track work).
It is a bitch of a hand brake
guess I'll just power slide my way round : )
Go in a bit quick, turn hard and catch it on the throttle on the way through. Or do what UFO suggested!
I think they wet the pad down anyway so shouldn't be that hard with 450hp to come in the next couple of weeks hopefully before this event : )
Lol
You have a cammed ss also don't you tinsnips?
Meh, go hydraulic handbrake.

I'd say if your serious go buy a purpose built drift car ie: a write off / water damaged car that when "not if" you cram it into the wall at some point you want be so shattered!!!!
My hand brakes useless as well but I'm a fan of the flush design looks nice and smooth but feels cheap.
