Hey All,
I'm looking into buying a new Series 2 SV6 Sedan in manual, but all I can find are semi-auto's on places like Car Sales.
It will be my first car and yes I'm a P-Plater in VIC.
Is there a reason other then laziness? (Other major guess is dealers stick auto's up on carsales because they sell more of them)
Or maybe is there a serious flaw with the manual transmission. Whats it like? Hows the clutch system?.
just like to hear everybody's thoughts. Cheers.
laziness and/or partners drive the car as well (not saying all partners have issues with manuals by any stretch before somebody shouts - but it is a common reason for buying an auto). Also, you'll find that more autos are sold in more built-up areas where people don't like dealing with both peak hour traffic AND a manual.
They are around though - just need to be in the right place at the right time.
I dont know why people hate driving in peak hour for, i dont find it hard or annoying at all, manuals are so much more fun lol
So glad I bought mine new with manual, I saved money and get to have more fun!! And it will hold its value slightly better.
Kuzman's Supercharged SV6 - MACE TUNED
After 16yrs of manual cars and 30k km+ per year, I kinda got sick of it
I used to never want an auto purely cos of the performance hit. But now, with the big cars, it's a non issue really.

im not blaming the car, im saying that my car alone doesnt get chicks hahah
y must u be so cruel tinny </3
I have one, didn't have to look too hardNo issues with the transmission, and after test driving both the manual and the semi auto I'm very glad I went the manual - it's way more fun to drive.
If you're buying new and the dealer doesn't have one on the floor, you would be able to get one built if you couldn't find one on the showroom floor, correct?
should be able to get one from factory no problems.....but it depends on whether you were wanting to buy brand new....
Yeh getting one built shouldn't be a problem, and probably will be. I'm yet to see a Voodoo in Manual on the floor around here...
I'm surprised nobody has had a go at me (yet) for getting it for a first car and being a P-Plater lol.
haha, when you love cars, and you work your ass off to afford a nice one, I'd never have a go......(the fact that im also a P plater plays a big role in that though)
Though I much prefer manuals, I can definitely see the appeal towards autos. I live in the inner west of Sydney, stop start stop start.
But 99% of the time I'm on the road I'm glad I've got a manual..
after a while you will be sick of manualing and you wont have time to bang chicks because you will be tired etc
feel me?
Only connection between chicks and a manual is the gear stick as there are these movies where the chick![]()

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
Seems like manual is the way to go! hopefully it beats the clutch in dad's 09 Mazda 6, that is a shocker. So sensitive!
And the car will hopefully have the following mods applied:
Lowered
Exhaust
Brake Lights
Head Lights
Sound System
Interior lights (to LED's)
...Think thats all for now![]()
