Question Mastercraft tires - mileage warranty?

Anybody running Mastercraft Avenger Touring LSR tires on their commodores? I am interested in them because they guarantee a minimum of 60000km for their 245/45/18 tires.

(Also noticed on the US website they guarantee the same tires for 50000 miles - 80467 km)

This is more than I usually get out of my tires, and they said the warranty is paid out as a pro-rata discount on the next set of tires. I've read the terms and conditions of the warranty and it all looks above board.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these tires in terms of grip, noise and comfort?

Also, anybody made warranty claims based on lack of mileage?

from what ive been told by someone in the tyre industry, cooper tyres make them. cooper tyres have the same guarantee and to be able to claim, you must have a wheel alignment, rotate and balance every 10,000kms and have the reciept to prove it.

And the compound will be hard and the grip will be limited.

That was my thought too. Every tyre I've had that has lasted longer than average has been crap in terms of doing what it's actually supposed to do.
