Question fixing a after market headunit with removing orginal stereo

hi im looking at fitting my alpine headunit into my ve omega. i want to put it under the aircon controls just in front of the shifter if you know where i mean. im just wondering if anyone knows where i can find some pictures to see what it looks like and also if there is a part that will make it look like the headunit is meant to be there and to hold it in place

    Replacing the VE "head unit"

correct me if im wrong but you can upgrade the omega cd player with a Berlina, Calais cd player/head unit if you just want to play mp3's and keep the factory sound system (although wheres the fun in that)

Has anyone got that jhp ipod kit, and does it really work?
Tad expensive but worth it I suppose if the steering wheel controls actually work.

sorry but can i ask why, you can get a LOC to add amps subs etc. and as someone else posted you can also upgrade to a berlina/SV model head unit if you want the MP3, Or any good car audio place can upgrade this to your standard unit.

IMO adding a separate head unit looks dickie and just not right. If your interested Give Tony Doran a call (Doran Pro Audio, Bankstown) 9791-6311, i know its abit out of your area but just give him a call and he should be able let you know what you can do with it.

Unless, of course, he actually does live on a new-born, southern whale.

pickle46 yeah i do agree it does look dicky but i want it for sound quality the LOC are a good peice of equipment but if you really want quality have to go aftermarket (eg. alpine pioneer) price wise im not worried its a peice of piss wiring one up to amps and stuff just wish someone would bring out a headunit to replace the stnded ve one and still has the climite controll on it and also looks good
