Hi all,
Would someone who owns a new series 2 V8 (in factory spec - no otrs etc) be kind enough to photograph (up close and personal) parts of the engine (top area) with the plastic cover off and post up or email to me?
What I specifically want to see are the new PCV (positive crank ventalation) hoses with connectors.. The series 2 seems to use updated hoses and I want to have some closeups to determine if they will fit earlier models.
The ones in particular are - from the vent tube drivers side rocker cover which goes to the air induction box before the throttle body.
And the next one goes from the purge solinoid (located front, right side of engine - in front of rocker cover) and runs over the top of the intake manifold back to the firewall. There are some others in the same location which would be handy to see but those are the main ones.
Appreciate your help guys if you can.
Phil
Why don't you just go to your local holden dealer and have a look, they always seem to have the bonnets open on some cars.
Thanks wayne...
I thought I might get a reply without having to do that. In the end I just into the workshop and got the bits I needed... My local dealer never has bonnets open on cars on the lot.

Can you elaborate on the setup you intend to install on yours?
Cheers

Hi MC,
It all ok now I went into the workshop and looked at what I needed. Basicaly Holden had revised some of the PCV hoses with different connectors. Also they added a 4th hose going from the intake manifold to the back of the head on the passenger side. Another change was the vacume hose from the back of the intake to the booster.
Cheers

Lols at the people on this site who want others to do stuff coz they are too lazy to do it themselves
Good that you finally did it yourself though.

I understand what you mean, but dont agree with it as he posted this at NIGHT, so maybe he wanted to see if by the time he wakes up someone would have posted a photo, and noone did so he went and done it himself.
Aniwaz i dont think i should be arguing with you so ill just leave it here. lol
HEXEM's one didn't seem to mind him having a look at one in the workshop. I've poped the lid of motors before. Speaking about contributions - I have no problem with helping people and appear to have contributed more over the last 4 or so years than your 25 posts. Perhaps you should listen to yourself on that one.
