Anyone that took their centre speaker out did you have the weird bracket on one of the screws as shown in picture below? Also anyone replaced it with a better speaker, if so what brand ??![]()
Mine's gone. don't remember about the screw. Couldn't be bothered replacing it, I like having left and right channels - it's not a home theatre.
Just leave it out and put the grill back in or put some gauges in its place like i did![]()

Whats come out with the screw is the copper coloured mounting hardware that the screws connect with. That bit should be sitting in the frame where the speaker goes. Take a look and you'll see what I mean.
I replaced it with a Polk DB401 4". Realy happy with the sound and quality.
