G'day all, just bought my first Commodore and not sure if this noise is normal. It's a 2009 VE Omega 3.6L 45000km. When I switch the car off in the garage and exit the car I can hear a high pitched beep from the engine bay along with a switching off noise (fuel system?) that is repeated twice. Have taken it to the mechanic and as usual I couldn't replicate the noise when the mechanic was there. Any thoughts? Is this normal? Many thanks.
Mine also does this, totally normal. I'm not exactly sure what each noise is though. Could be the ECU or something shutting off with the high pitched noise
i think it has some thing to do with the fly by wire throttle.
I don't know about the noise, but I just wanted to say that's the most concise topic heading I have ever read on this forum..
Way to set the standard - first post!!!!
Thankyou for your quick replies and for putting my mind at ease. Will be off now to add some new additions to the beast.
Mine does it. It is the throttle body and the shutting/switching off noise is the butterfly valve in the throttle body closing. 99% sure thats what it is.
