I've seen a few places doing those - they modify the GMH bonnets, so they fit straight up. Not cheap though in steel.

personally not a fan of the bulge or the letterbox grille. But then I don't like the vented HSV bonnets either. E1 was by far HSV's best effort with this series - aside from perhaps the pentagon wheels - they're sexy.

Yep E1 by far IMO was the best of the VE's but I admit the 2/3 has/did grow on me. When I saw the first E2 I was really disappointed but a mate has a red E2 with black aftermarket rims and the yellow brakes and it looks great.

It's more the rear of the later models I don't like as much and only because of those 'flutes' in the rear bar. That said, I think the E2/E3 has a more aggressive rear because of it

I read an article on the VF, it said its going to have Aluminium bonnet, boot and a few other bits. I'm hoping they fit on the VE, supposing i'm still driving a VE when the VF comes out i'd love to throw some lighter panels on in place of the lead sheet we have now. My biggest gripe with the VE is the lard it carries - so great to see Holdens reducing it for the next model.

VF doesnt have the mean looking guards the Ve S2 was given. Big mistake. The VF reminds me of that disasterous model of Falcon they made with women in mind. Yuck! As for the vented bonnet...... nothing looks sexier than a vented bonnet on a VE. Transformed my wifes SSV from a soccor mum car into the 400 HP machine she loves driving.

does putting a vent on the bonnet affect the engine bay when it rains or anything ? and does it help keep the temps lower ?
