So my cousin 2 years ago bought a 3 grand, non vtec little hatch back civic, for first car. Just to beat him i bought a 600 dollor holden barina hatchback. I WON.
Then he bought a s13 and i had my VZ UTE sv6 I BEAT HIM THEN ASWELL.
He then bought a s15(nonturbo) and i still beat him with my vz sv6
He then bought a 180sx TURBO and i had my VE SV6 ( STOCK) and i beat him.
Aniwaz This week he buying a DC5R( honda integra type r 2003)
And his stock, vs mine stock, stats show his winning by quite alot.
Do you guys think, once i put Intake, Exhaust and a tune, ill beat him. But he will also have tune exhaust and intake.

you may need abit more, what rwkw and wieght does his car have stock?
BTW: for exhaust, just get pacemaker headers (coat them), pair of 100cpsi cats (ballistic, xplode etc), rear muffler swap (redback, pacemaker, diffilipo etc) and cut out the crimp/hotdog section and replace with straight through pipe. You will save alot of money and be able to spend it on other stuff like mace spacers, underdrive pulley etc.

Integra type-r is a front wheel drive car, they go hard with the red top type-r motor, beast of an engine, good luck with that one, s2000 is the only rwd performance car from Honda besides an NSX, driven a few type-r's and they go hard.
Both have around the same stock 1/4 mile times, so assuming by beat you mean "down a drag strip" and not on the street I think it would be pretty even, come down to driver, whether cars are auto/manual etc
Lets just say i raced the new type r integra up here it deff has a full zorst intake and tune, ive been told possibly cam and head work however, my mafless tuned manaul 8 pumping between 270/280rkw now and i only got about half a car length on him went through all of 3rd and half of 4th, in 3rd gear right up to about 5g we were side by side, them little vtec motors hammer! bascially any stock 8/xr6t would get smashed by it lol his was manual too, with my old mafless tune i had i would have lost easily too, lucky oztrack has pumped the beast up lol

I use to hoon alot, but honestly now i really have stopped, i wouldnt say i done 0 hooning but i HARDLY EVER do it because i realised how stupid and wrong it is.

i had a honda Euro with Intake, Tune, Headers, Skunk Racing 3" zorst, it pulled so hard i left my mates stock ss VU auto neither of us could beleive it so we went again and i beat him by more!
I did notice huge gains when it was cold with the intake and tune and it sounded wicked, those Vtec K series motors go hard, i dont know about over 130km i reckon 8's would start pulling away, but off the line the my euro was quick, i really loved that car, it just wasnt good for towing and i love the VE's so much.
I certainly would be hesitant lining up besides the honda considering its a DC5R with the K20A motor those things dont need much to be real street weapons, they would clean you up around some corners easily and leave you in the dust.
Vtec Yo! it does work with the right setup!
Vtecs do have some balls. Mate has a b18 after market vtec and far out it goes hard. but your right after 100 there worthless.
never driven or been around a D25R before so i dont know what to expect, dc2r were only a b18 and these are a k20 like u said so hole different system with the civic b16 so i dont know what to expect.
