Just wondering if the fuel economy reading gets more accurate over time? Mine seems to read about 1l/km higher than what I've calculated.
Also, anyone noticed that their analogue speedo doesnt match the digital readout? Mines about 2kmh out :P
I'd say the digital readout would be more accurate when doing constant speeds and highway driving than when driving in traffic. In traffic everytime you start the instantaneous fuel usafe goes up to about 50 L/100 and then back down again. Your computer is then trying to work out the average from a constantly moving target ... good luck with that !!
What kind of driving do you do ?
Yeah the digital readout is more accurate, though still out by about 2-3kmh compared to my gps.
I do mostly suburban driving with about 2-300kmd worth of hwy driving.i just thought by the end of a tank, it should be pretty much spot on?
You don't want to compare it to your GPS, bro.
The GPS trianglulates your position within about 20-30 or even 50 metres (Depending on models.)
So this will throw out your GPS.
If your really concerned, get it booked into a specialist.
Or if your cheap, set to 100 and drive under one of those speed test things that displays your speed, (Pretty sure there are still some around)
Not saying its a problem I'm worried about as I do go by my gps speed.
I was more wondering why the analogue and digital speedos weren't the same.
Mine does this too. The needle shows about 102 when the digital is on 100.
