Thread cleaned. If you can't answer the question or atleast post a link to a thread which can answer it (without adding bullshit) STFU.

These are pretty popular. Just have to watch out for the drone at 1800rpm while crusing in 6th gear.

That's all well and good Troy, but why can't they use the search function either.

This whole forum is littered with the same bullshit threads.

    Cheers.

hey man i have an sv6 ... now for like 400 bucks you can pick up a set of after market rear mufflers that have the quad tip that your after its easy to just do it yourself or pay someone else if you want ... it does sound louder and meaner ... but depending on how loud / mean you want you can always go for a full extractor cats and cat back ... will cost you about 2500 maybe a bit less for mild steel but this system will give it a lot of growl and volumn ... you can get any combination of this from any exhaust shop or even off ebay

^ this guy seems like he knows what he is talking bout which is y im quoting him

i may have been a little out of line....but OP knows there are other threads about it, which means he has looked, and chosen to disregard them for whatever reason when there is helpful stuff in them.

not ss mufflers ... they are the same mufflers you get with the cat back system but they are just the diff back set up ... as these mufflers are so large from standard they cut 90% of the noise out ... as a little test take the rear mufflers off and start it up ... its way louder i was considering just getting some straight through pipes made up but went with extractors etc instead ... but just for noise the diff back is very good

DJRandom/Astroham, I've made myself up a set of straight pipes for my VE SV6 they sound a little quieter than without the mufflers on at all. Much less vibration through the car as the pipes aren't shooting straight at the car. No extra money spent. Imho perfect sound.

Before you add the straight pipe, may i suggest trying out dump pipes after the last flange?
Illegal or not I've had dump pipes on for about 9 months across ACT, NSW and QLD. Never been pulled over or even looked at twice at an rbt. A tip though, always keep a spare set of mufflers in case you get a defect.
    Im a true commy boy!!!
