hey guys
I'm going to put some black ssv wheels on the ute,
and I'm going to lower it, just not sure weather to just do the shocks and springs thing, or get coilovers
I got quoted 2150 for the pedders extreme xa fitted
I'm not looking to go to low but I just want it to sit a bit more even
and also which would be better for when I'm carrying a couple of dirt bikes in the back or towing a trailer?
and I will most likely travel down gravel roads as well
i dont know much about it so if you can answer all of that crap I'd like to know haha
cheers
Personally, unless you're going to spend big bucks on a genuinely good 'coilover' set up ($6K minimum DMS, Ohlins or similar), then you'll find a good spring/shock combo will perform much better and cost significantly less.
Flick Greg from GSL Rallysport a PM and have a chat about what you want out of your car - he'll be able to sort out a good package for you.
okay thanks man,
yeah dont want it slammed or anything just a little bit lower and even
dont want it sagging when theres weight on them either ill give him a messege
cheers
got quoted $650ish to lower my ute with pedders by a local bridgestone store, to go 30mm in the front and 50mm rear, that's pretty reasonable isn't it?
If it's just for springs I'd say no. You can get a pair of springs off ebay for around $220, should only cost around another $220 for installation. If you want shocks, you can get a set of shocks and springs for around $690 + $220 installation.

awwk is pedders like middle of the range for springs?
does anyone have pedders? and how do they rate them?
Ive got the full pedders coilover setup on my ute, i wouldnt do it any otherway, very easy to change the heights and ajust the dampening settings
