New SV6 - Seat Covers?

G'day all. It's not very often I post in this part of the forum however I have a query.

I remember when I got the VY some years ago the first thing I thought was to get seat covers. I bought them from K-Mart I think. They were airbag compatible but were a real bitch to fit and I struggled to get them on. Ended up taking them back and never using seat covers for any other car since. Even the Berlina I just offloaded yesterday went through its two years with me without ever having seat covers.

Yesterday I took delivery of a brand new VE Series II SV6 and because it's of the new kind I really want to ensure I try and maintain it as I'll probably hang onto it for close to five years this time. Has anyone here managed to get hold of seat covers (not from Holden that don't cost the earth) and managed to get them fitted properly?

I'm really not fussed about real quality. Something from Supercheap or Autobarn would be fine. They are the cheaper disposable part of the car that take the punishment of wear and tear afterall.

Supercheap definitely sell airbag compatible VE seat covers, I've seen them. But I also remember that they werent much cheaper than the Holden Genuine product.
With airbags though mate, you dont want to stuff around buying a seat cover thats a cheap knockoff from China. It's too important a bit to have it not work correctly because of a poor fitting seat cover that doesnt work as advertised when it really counts.

I to went on the hunt in these stores for some compatible seat covers for the airbags but without much luck as they were either horrid or pretty dam expensive,
I know its abit of a rip but the neoprene ones that holden are selling are pretty good but heres a link on Ebay, these are the cheapest ive seen them, I know Holden also do a sheepskin version that may be cheaper again

Mate I got a set or Black sheep skin covers that are air bag suitable. Bought them from Auto Barn for about $150-170. Easy to fit. Actually no harder than normal covers that I had on my Lux and Cruiser

Ilana seat covers from Supercheap, good fit, cheap, look good, wear well. I've got a set on mine.
